About Go Sy Thai

Go Sy Thai is a thai restaurant in Detroit, Michigan. It is listed at 4240 Cass Ave #103, Detroit, MI 48201, which places it among the local businesses of Detroit that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Google also lists it under takeout restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Detroit, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Michigan run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 11 am–9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (313) 638-1467. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is gosythai.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Its Google rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 1,262 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

Detroit is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. Getting around Detroit is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Michigan's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Ugh, I like the restaurant - but today's experience was not good - due to one person. After many tries over the years I finally found something here that my 11 yo, non-verbal, ASD son will eat. He chose the restaurant today! Order taker: order whenever you are ready. Me: thank you, he will have the sesame chicken, no green garnish, no pineapple... OT: (frazzled that I was ready)umm, no sesame seeds? Me: seeds are fine, if he sees green he won't eat so I just say it because you never know when green onion or parsley will appear... OT: strange look. Me: let's just say no veggies. OT: and for you? Me: I will take the drunken noodle with chicken.... OT: what spice level - wait what his spice level! Me: mild for him, medium for me. OT: cannot get the screen to do something, runs to kitchen for someone's code, then outside, then consults someone in the dinning room for code. The provided code is incorrect. Moves over to the next register. Recaps my son's order. Recaps my order, asking what protein before audibly recalling "chicken". Me: Yes chicken, medium spice, 86 the veggies but add broccoli. OT: got it. Me: cool beans... for here please. Food arrives: Me: thank you... wait I'm sorry

I’ve ordered from here a few times out of last-minute hunger, and unfortunately it’s been consistently disappointing. The Pad Thai was a small portion, very dry, and barely had any sauce or chicken. It lacked the flavor and balance you’d expect, and overall just felt rushed and low quality.

Food was really good! I had drunken noodles, pop stickers and crab cheese, everything had a good flavor I am very satisfied. Would recommend and I will be back!

Food was so goooood. I came in with a group of friends which some never had thai food before. Myah was very sweet and helpful and gave great customer service. I got the chicken pad se ew with hot and crispy roll. Everything was great and the spice was perfect i actually could've gotten hotter but love spicy food. My friends got the Orange glazed chicken mild, Tofu pad thai, kow pad and veggie spring rolls. We also got the thai iced tea, matcha and snacks. Everyone raved about everything and we cant wait to come back.

Fairly typical of downtown businesses, first you need to park the car. Once you move past that onerous duty, the good stuff happens. A small place that does most of its business through carry-out & delivery still has space to seat 29 dining in. The service is very quick. Myah was friendly & patient. The whole place a standard of efficiency. My food was ready just a couple of minutes after ordering. Plenty of it, too. Hot, delicious, made as requested. If this is the lunch portion, the dinner amount is huge! I was easily in and out in under an hour, too.
